Jan 19th. CBA Second Annual Tree Burning (thanks mostly to Walt Kuhn) and Sponsored by CBA - 88 people (55 in 2007) consumed at no charge, 64 hot dogs, 5 gal hot choc, 4 gallons of chili as well as Betty Davis' 2 gal of delicious spiced cider.  Music and dessert candies by Rich Focht (Hummingbird Ranch - Honey an Maple products) Walt Kuhn STAT construction and Norma Dolan picked up 35 donated trees, Thanks go to the local people who donated trees and to Tom & Karen Hahn for so many of extra trees, Joe Tierney provided a tent as well as helping Walt set up the base fire and excellent tree placement for the burning  with TJ Arata, lifting, hauling and covered in hot cinders, these guys kept going, the CBA greatly appreciates Bill & Petrina White jumping in to help serve the hot dogs and chili, Jerry Dolan provided the grill and burners and transported all the needed tables and supplies. 6 bags of marshmallows were roasted - Longer sticks provided this year.  A lot of "ooohs and ahhs" as the trees sent fire plumes 50'  or more in the air. Thanks to Theron Tompkins for the tremendous job by the highway dept to plow and salt the area. Thanks go to the Schultzville Store for promoting the event. The CBA is appreciative of all those who offered donations and is happy to provide this well received "old time" style event that draws so many from the area.  A genuine good time had by all.  This is one of numerous things the CBA does that is beneficial to our town.
